Anthem

Located approximately 34 miles north of downtown Phoenix is the master-planned community of Anthem.  Anthem is a Del Webb planned community which has brought in around 40,000 residents since opening in 1998.  The area features a great fitness center, which includes a children's pool, an outdoor heated pool, lap pool, water park and whirlpool.  There are also plenty of baseball/softball and soccer fields, volleyball and tennis courts and as always great golf courses. www.arizonaguide.com/wheretogo/City.aspx?ctid=377
